Basically, arthropods are the group of animals that include insects, spiders, crustaceans, millipedes and centipedes. These animals are very diverse, from strikingly beautiful butterflies to the mysterious and sometimes terrifying tarantula. They are one of the most abundant life forms on earth. If all the insects on earth were piled up on top of the ground we would be 3 feet deep in bugs!

Fantastic in their variety and incredibly diverse in habit, insects fascinate people of all ages. An arthropod exhibit can illustrate many aspects of animal life. Movement, reproduction, camouflage, defense, flight and migration, are some of the possibilities.
